Our Blog

Empowering communities through sharing generously

Our Mission

Our mission is to encourage permaculture, and wildlife sustainability through information & tools for environmental development. Connecting neighborhoods and communities through a shared love of colorful growth. We use charitable gifts to support local gardeners, schools, community gardens, & neighbors when we can to replenish the stands,  and motivate sharing.

We provide opportunities to bring the public and stand hosts together with free events & educational workshops; educating them on varied topics like: how and what to plant, how to help grow and support the local wildlife, and how to grow for sustainability. This concept will bring more food to each plate, more knowledge to each individual and more growth and beauty in each community.

We are passionate about raising awareness on how easy gardening is, knowing where your food comes from and contributing to our impact on the planet. We encourage hosts to look for reusable items for the stand & seed library. We love to see how much our locations can contribute not only to our immediate communities but the world. At Garden Exchange Stands Org, we aim to connect local gardeners and promote sustainable practices by fostering a community of sharing, we improve access to fresh produce and strengthen local food systems.

OUR DISCLAIMERS

The Garden Exchange Stands Org collects and distributes seeds and plants that are open pollinated and heirloom seeds. We do not or will not accept or distribute patented seeds or varieties that are protected under the Plant Variety Protection Act. Please note that seeds that are available through us are a combination of commercially available seeds and those donated by the community and shared freely with interested growers. While we do our best to maintain the integrity of seeds in the collection, this is not a commercial seed source, and the quality of seeds may vary. If you discover any problems with your seeds, including poor germination, of-types, or mislabeling, please let us know. A seed library is a community effort and you can help keep the collection healthy.
